Stargazing
"we were never strangers, you were right there all along"
Stargazing by Myles Smith is the song I woke up singing. These are the wake-up-to songs that get to me; I can’t remember the last time I heard it, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t hear it somewhere, somehow, in the last few days. This is exactly when I think the lyrics may hold a message just for me. Some information or moment I need, but the universe knows, it must come to me indirectly first, via music.
Hmm. In reading the lyrics, maybe this is a time that I solely appreciate the poetry within a song??? The lyrics are a little too lovey-dovey for it to be an indirect message from the universe.
Hmm. Or maybe the universe has gone really, Really, REALLY indirect!!
Ugh, I thought, one more look before I dismiss it altogether.
You and I stargazing
Intertwining souls
We were never strangers
You were right there all along
Wait.
Message received. Actually, sweet memory received.
As I was writing “intertwining”, a memory of David, my late husband, came to me. …
